center tapped and conventional Transformer

Differentiate between Centre tapping Transformer and conventional transformer

Centre tapped Transformer gives us different range of voltage at secondary side whenever required to operate at different loading condition but normal Transformer gives us some fixed voltage at secondary side irrespective of loading condition. Centre tap Transformer always have tapping on hai higher voltage side because on the HV side current is low compared to LV side. So transition of moving arm on hand to change tap will cause in large change in current.
